“Mammon” (money, wealth, assets, financial success) has gotten some “bad press” in European Christianity. But the meaning of the word “MAMMON” is really “From Faith”.
This is along the lines of all thoe motivational seminars, positive thinking and self-help literature that has been “happening” in western society for over a century. Western society is materialistic, perhaps moreso than it should be. But with the banksters and the governments robbing people of their assets and earnings, most people have little choice but to be materialistic. Without money you cannot afford to feed and house your children properly. It is as simple as that.
The Bible DOES NOT SAY that Money is the Root of All Evil. It says:
“The LOVE OF MONEY” is the Root of ALL EVIL”.
That is almost “stating the obvious. If you love money above all else, things are WRONG. If you Serve Money, it is stupid. The Money is supposed to serve you, AND God. Duh!
What the Bible says is the Motivational self-help stuff “On Steroids”. The Bible brings God and Faith into the self-help, positive affirmations, neuro-linguistic programming mix.
AMN (Hebrew) = AMeN
Amen is an acronym, one of those TLA’s (Three Letter Acronyms), that we use, but this one, the AMN (Amen) is from thousands of years ago.
The three letters stand for three words. The approximate transliteration into English, is “Al Malac Namen”. The meanings are:
“God is a Faithful King” or
“God’s Kingdom is (only) accessed by Faith”

The Biblical (Tanakh Old Testament etc)word for Faith is Amonah. It is connected CLOSELY with the word Amen. The New Testament (Greek) word is “Pistis”. The letters in the word Pistis have values (a bit like Roman Numerals) that sum to 800. We use a rolled 8, what the Americans call a “Lazy 8”, as our symbol for infinity. The idea is the same with both “Pistis” and “Amona”, that our Faith taps into something Higher than our everyday (7 Days a week!) resources.
