Now the news is out — the supposed ISIS terrorist vehicle, in the middle of the refugees trying to escape the Taliban, that was hit by a missilethat the USA now admits, or pretends, was fired because of “faulty intelligence”.
The vehicle was being driven by an aid worker. The crowd of people around the vehicle was made up mainly of people who were desparate to flee the Taliban. They were desparate to escape because either they or someone in their families had helped the western military who had spent the past 20 years trying to protect people from the murderous religious fanatics in the Taliban.
Afghanistan has been crazy and violent for centuries. The only thing that was ever going to stop the violence was a strong military presence. The British had failed to stop the anarchy. So had the Russians. The Americans came in on the pretext of Bin Ladin. The heroin and oil pipelines were more like “part” of the real reason the US went in there.
But the US reasons were NOT all bad. The region was strategically important. It always has been and still is.
The US and other allied troops who went in there, did not do so in vail. They provided two decades of protection and safety for many Afghans – safety and a normal life for the local population, safety from the psycho crazies and violent fanatics among their own people.
The real evil was LEAVING, and LEAVING WITHOUT RESCUING those who had helped the allies.
Firing a missile into a crowd of refugees, just so as to get the US headlines saying “We shot back!” is every bit as evil.
And that is how it looks. US servicemen and service women (at least one) died in a terrorist attack. So just kill some refugees so we can pretend we did something in response. After all, they are only “wogs”, Moslems and foreigners. They do not count!
Whichever way you look at it, thaat is how that Kabul Missile attack looks/reads. US and Allied personnel who served in Afghanistan should rightly be furious about how they and the people who helped them, have been treated.
That treatment is more than a disgrace. It is plain EVIL.
It is NOT “Collateral Damage”. It is EVIL.
