Bread, (Beth)Lehem & The Priestly Blessing

The Aaronic-Priestly Blessing, Numbers 6: 24 – 26

Many people know the words of The Aaronic or Priestly Blessing (its two most common descriptions) in English. But they are unaware of how “special” it is in its original (“God Given” – literally dictated by God) Hebrew form/version.

The Wedding Rings

The three symbols on the left hand side of the text, are used as punctuation markers. The letters are the Hebrew letter Samech, a symbol (how the letter Samech “began”) for a cross between an engagement ring and a wedding ring. The flat “top” of the Samech is like the top of aan engagement ring, the “flatter part of the ring that can hold a diamond or other gemstone(s).
“Right off the bat”, the Priestly Blessing is written in a way that tells us that one of the greatest blessings in life is a happy home and a happy marriage, one in which the couple are “triply” bonded together.

The letter Samech does not appear in the Bible until we reach the story of Adam and Eve. That makes it an unusual and very “symbolic” letter, because so many of the letters occur well before that. For instance half the letters in the Hebrew Alphabet occur in the first verse of the Bible, something of a “Yin Yang” thing that tells us that the Male-Female bond is crucial in creation.

Lehem & BethLehem

Jesus made a big deal of being the “Living Bread” or the Bread of Life. On the night before He died He “instituted” the Communion Service, the “Bread and Wine” service that He set up as the reversal of the “Food & Wine” or “Bread & Wine” interaction/meal that Eve and the Serpent shared – when she smashed her marriage and effectively brought all of creation down with her. (That “fall” was not locked into place until Adam, her betrayed husband, made his choice to stay with her. He was so attached to her that he either could not give her up, or at least he believed he could not give her up. It is hard to tell how much he knew of what had happened.

Later on, after Cain had murdered his brother Abel, Adam realised how great the evil was that the Serpent had put into Eve. He wanted nothing more to do with her, and as the Bible text tells us, he separated from her for 130 years. They only re-united after the efforts of some of their descendants to get their ancestors to reconcile.

The Communion Service carries more significance than many people realise. The Cathlic Church has “run with it”, but they did not “invent” it/ Jesus did. After the Reformation, most Protestant denominations have downplayed it into being a minor or only occasional event. The Reformation, like the Counter-Reformation was a staged Intelligence Agency “op”. Part of the agenda was to separate people from the power of the Bread & Wine service, in which items that were part of Humanity’s downfall, were used for good.

The “Bread” or Lehem is VERY IMPORTANT. Jesus was born in Beth-Lehem, the “House of Bread” for several reasons. One of those reasons was to underline the significance of LEHEM i.e. BREAD.

Bread – Lehem – Value 78

Lehem is written in Hebrew with three letters. Those letters have the values 30, 8 and 40, for a total of 78.

The 78 total is highlyy meaningful and significant. The Priestly Blessing uses God’s 4-Letter Name, value 26, in each of its three verses. The total value of those 3 Names (12 Letters in total) is 78.

78 Components in The Priestly-AaronicBlessing

The Priestly Blessing (not counting the three Samech “punctuation markers”), consists of 3 Verses, 15 Words and 60 Letters

26 * 3 = 78

God’s 4 Letter Name. The values of the 4 Letters are (from Right to Left): 10, 5, 6 and 5, summing to 26. The Name is used 3 times in the Blessing, total value 3 * 26 = 78 (same as the number of components, same as the value of Bread-Lehem).

The 10 “Fingers of God”

The Hebrew text for the Genesis Week is a little more complex than the English. But (being slightly simplistic), the expression “God said” occurs 10 times in the Creation Week. These 10 “sayings of God” are regarded as the “TEN FINGERS OF GOD”.

Two Hands, Five Fingers On Each Hand

The Words in the three Verses of the Prietly Blessing increase from 3 to 5 to 7 Words. This increase by 2, represents the two Hands of the Priest or family patrirch raised in blessing over his congregation or family. The Letters increase by 5, from 15 to 20 to 25 over the three Verses. This “increase by 5” represents the 5 fingers of each hand, raised in blessing. The Priest or Patriarch channels the Blessing, the power of Creation, the energy of the 10 Sephiroth (Kingdom, Will, Power, Glory etc) into and onto those receiving the Blessing. God’s instruction to Moses was that when Aaron and his sons blessed the people, God would place His Name upon them. That Name is linked to the Bread (Lehem = 78) that Jesus described Himself as. It is also the “12 Letter Name” of God. (i.e. the 3 Tetragrammatons contained in the Blessing, and effectively structured into its 78 components).
