We use different terms to describe this Divine Name. We call it The Tetragrammatoon. We call it the Sacred 4-Letter Name. The “reluctance” to use the Name, or to “Trumpet it” the way many modern Christians do, comes from the way God described the Name when He spoke with Moses.
Technically, God told Moses that the Name was to be hidden. English translations say “This is My Name forever”. The translation is valid. But the way God spelled the words in Hebrew, (God dictated the words letter by letter for Moses to write down), that spelling talks about “HIDING”, or Secrecy”. Phonetically, the “Forever” is in there. But the spelling talks about “HIDING”.
One of the implications of that instruction TO HIDE the Name, is that this is one very special Name.
It has many aspects to it. For instance, it can be read as an equation, i.e. as 10 = 5 + 5.
That equation “sums up” our two hands, ten fingers on each, The Tem Commandments on two separate stone blocks, and our 10-Dimensional Universe.
Another interpretation of the Name is as a summary of Time, Past, Present and Future.
