For a very different “twist” to “The Nine” . . . .

Puharich was a brilliant guy. His “pedigree”/bio is stunning. He was an army officer and army doctor (US). He was a psychiatrist and US Intelligence Officer. He was an inventor. He “was” SRI, i.e. Stanford Research Institute – in other words, he worked with, and at, SRI for parts of his career.
He was Uri Geller’s “handler”. Uri eventually split with Andrija, because he (Uri) believed that Andrija was simply “running him” for US Intelligence. Uri’s impression was probably very accurate.
Puharich was enough of a celebrity and a recognised talent to “score” a meeting with The Pope. One of his long term tasks/projects for the US military and US Intelligence was to investigate psychic abilities and how they could be used or “weaponised”.
The Seances With “The Nine”
Puharich ran Seances for years (decades), mainly up in remote ocations in the US North East. He was not “the Medium”. He used to employ/hire the Mediums, usually, Indian psychics.
Parts of Star Trek came out of those seances. Gene Roddenberry was an invited guest/observer at some of the Seances. He built some of what he heard into Star Trek.
The regular guests/participants (the human ones) at those seances were from some of the wealthiest and best known names in US history. The family names go back to the Pilgrim Fathers and to the signatories to The US Declaration of Independence.
On the “spirits side” of the Seances, the “participants” identified themselves only as:
The Nine
It was never clear as to what they were Nine of, e/g. Nine spirits, or Nine Egyptian “gods” claiming to be “back”. The info was only coming through one Swami at each Seance (not always the Same Swami each seance). So there were no guarantees as to who or what was “on the other end of the line”. But we know that the claims about The Nine were consistent, despite “different Swamis” and from the 1950’s to the 1970’s.
Amazingly, the Seances lead straight to the JFK Assassination, to Allen Dulles and to both NAZIs and the US Aerospace industry.
One of the regular participants at the Seances was Ruth Forbes Paine Young. Her lifelong best friend was Alan Dulles’ long term mistress. He daughter-in-law was Ruth Paine in Dallas, the woman who got Lee Oswald the job at the Texas School Book Depository Building. The younger Ruth was Lee and Marina’s landlady. Her husband, son of Ruth senior, was the step son of Arthur Young, husband of the older and multiply married, Ruth Senior. He was one of the founders of Bell Helicopters, where his Step-son worked in Texas.
Arthur, like his wife, was heavily interested in spiritualism, seances and the occult. He, like his wife (Ruth Senior) was a long term regular participant in Puharich’s seances.
Arthur’s Step-Son had a mentor and boss at Bell Helicopters in Texas. He was Walter Dornberger, a senior Nazi, who was almost executed at Nuremberg. But his “record” was quashed. He was “useful” to the USA. So he ended up in Texas in the US Aerospace industry. His protege, husband of Ruth Junior, had a home in Dallas. That was where Marina lived with her two little girls. Lee lived there on the weekends. He was at the Boarding House closer to his job, on weekdays.

And we find “Nine” at the centre of Torah Codes, of Electrical Circuits, of Tesla’s technology, and in the 27 Letter Hebrew Alphabet.
We have a Base 10 Number System. But we use 9 symbols (1 – 9) plus something different (a “Zero”) to represent those 10 Numbers. The English version of the Genesis Week has “God said” in there 10 times. But the original (Hebrew version), dictated Letter by Letter to Moses (by God) has the term Vayomer Elohim (“And Said God”, in there NINE TIMES, not Ten Times.
In Verse 28, the Hebrew text says “And Said To Them God”. It is different from the other Nine “And God Said” expressions.
When we talk, we breathe out some air. In Verse 2 of Genesis, the Spirit (Breath) of God, is on the face of the waters. So we conclude that God “breathed out” in Verse 1 of Genesis.
So we normally “count” Verse 1 as the First of God’s Ten Sayings in the Genesis Week. That is “Normally”, because under some circumstances we do count Verse 28 as the Tenth saying. Either way, Verse 1 or Verse 28, ONE of the Ten is different from the other NINE.

If the Universe was created by the Breath/Spirit of God, (as the start of God’s Word(s)), that adds more to the significance of Jesus “breathing on” His Disciples when He said “Receive The Holy Spirit”.

Alester Crowley named himslef “666”. Even his own (religious !) mother called him “The Beast”. He was billed as “The Wickedest Man in The World”. What was his connection to Demons and the Devil, to Dark Spirits?
He “spoke Gibberish”, the same as modern Pentacostals, when he was conjuring up spirits!
“Spirits of The Dark Kind” in Modern Church Culture?
Pentecost involved the “Sound of a rushing wind” and te speaking of foreign COMPREHENSIBLE languages.
Speaking gibberish and rolling on the floor does sound like spirits, but hardly the “Holy Spirit of God”, the “Pneumatos Agios” or Ruach Elohim (Ruach HaQodesh).
Even Puharich’s “Nine Spooks”, occult, conjured by Swamis or whatever, were capable of speaking in a human language that people could understand.
That was one of the features of the real first Pentecost. The languages were foreign, but they were real.
Andrija’s military and intelligence bosses were interested in using spiritual and psychic stuff to control people. How much of that agenda has gotten into the modern “Happy Clappy”, “Roll on the Floor”, “Speak in Gibberish” churchy culture?
The answer is in the “behaviour”. Jesus said it – about the sign being that they love one another.
There have been and still are, plenty of good, even great, people in churches. But how do these modern “denominations” and fundamentalists” treat each other?
